Best Ever Chocolate Energy Ball Recipe!

Best ever chocolate energy ball recipe

I have played with this recipe (originally from my friend Jules) to make it perfect for my tastes but do enjoy being creative yourself with it too:)

Ingredients
½ cup almonds
12 medjool dates pitted
¼ cup GF oats or oatbran
1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut ( ½ cup for rolling, ½ for the mixture)
3 tbsps cacao powder
1 pinch sea or Himalayan salt
2 or 3 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup water 

Optional extras: goji berries, dark chocolate chips, cacao nibs or whatever else takes your fancy;)

Method
1. Put the almonds in a food processor and pulse a few times. Then add the oats and pulse again a few times.
2. Add dates, coconut, cacao powder & salt and process until crumbly
3. If adding any optional extras you can add them here
4. Slowly add water while processing until dough forms
5. Roll into balls of desired size
6. Roll through the shredded coconut (or cacao or cacao nibs)

They can be kept in the fridge for up to a week or put in the freezer, enjoy!
